Backgrounds

This one still needs some work. The values need some reworking.

I am making an animated short this semester about a creature terrorizing an 1800's merchant ship crew. It is based very much on the chapter of Dracula in which he travels from Tramsalvannia to england and kills the crew along the way, though the creature is not Dracula. I am a big fan of period horror, and feel there is far to little of it. Anyway, I have been working hard on getting all the backgrounds done so that I can jump right into animating. This is a small selection of some of the backgrounds I have finished. I have purposely made the perspective slightly off to subtly create unease and tension. Several of them also have elements that will be animated in Aftereffects.

I hope you like them Jeremy!

spider monkey

My spider monkey. He likes to eat fruit flies. I did this a long time ago, and came across it while I was looking at some old stuff. I like it, so I decided to post it.

The French Connection

Watercolor piece I did in one of my sketchbooks. Inspired by my wife. I did a couple of quick fixes in photoshop.

babo and batman

Commission I did over the summer for an old friend of mine. His son is really big into batman.

Did this because I was bored. Comic I have tinkered with about my buddies and me. It could use some reworking.

I am finally posting again, after a year and some months. I will be posting some work I have done. I know you have all been waiting so long. All of my followers. Which might be Jeremy...

Some effects animation I did for work. Also nice because I needed to do some test stuff of lightning for my own project. 2 birds with one stone. All right!

Vincent Schiavelli

Here is my take on Vincent Schiavelli. Better actor then he was good looking, but I guess with him that wouldn't be hard. Great face though. Fun to draw even if this looks hardly anything like him.
